I was actually able to find respun isos that I was looking for. There is also a software that helps you respin nearly any iso that you want.

I did install grub 2 and it doesn't work. It keeps telling me that the bootloader has been switched? I don't know how to configure it with my machine.

Are you trying to boot a Porteus ISO or a Porteus install? I've been booting ISOs for years including Porteus ones. No spinning necessary.
It?

Well, yes. Whatever was booting before is now grub2. Or "It".

Did you add menus to your grub2 install? Can you post them?

Will I get killed if I (also) Hijack this thread ?
Have had this Acer Aspire Switch 10 aka SW5-012 lying around for ages .. and hate Windoze with a passion by now .. so not using it
and also would like to smack Porteus on it ..
I can boot it from usb just fine, got that baytrail grub bootia32.efi thrown in the efi/boot and it boots right into grub .. do the set root, linx, initrd boot thingie .. -> desktop
BUT
I want/need to go a little different route
I want the files on the disk without disturbing that windoze on there (just yet)
created an entry for Porteus with bcdedit, get to a dual-bootscreen from windoze bootmanager
can boot windoze of course
but no Porteus .. instead of getting grub I get a windows 'crash'recovery kind of thing .. it tells me about the bootia32.efi along with a 0xc000007b error .. so I am puzzled here
tried putting the bootia32.efi (and vmlinuz + initrd.xz) on the "C:" partition (ntfs gpt btw) and also on the ESP gpt fat32
everytime same result
and if I am not supposed to hijack .. then you didn't read a thing .. ok ?
