@Arleson
At the next update of "Kernel Builder",
configs for kernel 5.18 and 5.17 will be set "CONFIG_SND_SOC_INTEL_SOF_ES8336_MACH=y".

Thanks.
Thanks for the help neko. I created another more detailed post on 'Linux Questions' where you can see more details about the problem. I will also share other post with similar problem to mine. Thanks.

It really lacked assigning the value "y". You compiled with "m", right?

With "m" - as module. Yes.
Can you test it with "m"?

hi Arleson i think you have load the module:CONFIG_SND_SOC_INTEL_SOF_ES8336_MACH=m with insmod and lsmod
can confirm it and you can see if the module need other deps to start with modinfo name of the module that you need to load.

Unfortunately I'm a newbie and I don't know much about the kernel. I just used the kernel recently built by Blaze.

hi Arleson i don't know where the module in your kernel is located but in mine:/kernel/sound/pci/ if the module is located in this path open a terminal and as root insmod the name of the module:example insmod '/lib/modules/5.18.0-rc5-beny/kernel/sound/pci/snd-es1938.ko' after this you can see the module in lsmod in terminal, the modules built by m are loaded by user with insmod or modprobe always in terminal. if this work you can load at boot the module with a script.

there are a lot of trouble with this hardware: try this browser search:sof-audio-pci-intel-apl 0000:00:0e.0: warn: topology ABI is more recent than kernel
try to open alsamixer in terminal to see if the hardware is on and you have other options.
