To increase capacity and performance on my server builds I am considering this binary...

EnhanceIO is a disk cache module for the Linux kernel. Its goal is to use fast but relatively small SSD drives to improve the performance of large but slow hard drives.

I just purchased a 256gb PNY SLC/NvME SSD and a Seagate 1tb (128mb buffer) hybrid drive to try out EnhanceIO.
I receive no compensation for any shared info. And if you have any concerns... then do the right thing and reach out through PM.
