Bluetooth
I have a Samsung tablet and I have a keyboard that is bluetooth. My question is I have never use or setup bluetooth before. Do I need to install anything to setup up. If not what do I need to do?
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

for porteus, add bluetooth cheatcode to your /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg for a start.
you already have blueman.. i don't know much about keyboards, whether they pair automatically or something.

In the /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg file scroll down to the LABEL area and to the APPEND lines add the cheatcode.
For LABEL GRAPHICAL
Code: Select all
APPEND changes=/porteus bluetooth
Code: Select all
APPEND nomagic base_only norootcopy bluethooth
If you plan on using any of the other menu options add the cheatcode to their APPEND lines also.

Yes it boot up on a 64gb USB 3.1 I use the same USB to boot up on a Dell laptop, Samsung Laptop, Samsung Tablet and soon to be a Macbook Pro but I have to test it when I receive it. That same Macbook Pro will boot up Windows 10. When I get enough USB-3.1 each computer will have there own Porteus.

Wait a second. Samsung Tablet normally doesn't even let user access a bootloader, did you have to "root" it or something? Also, it's ARM architecture not x86, we don't have Porteus ARM distribution, do we?
I'd sooner believe that Macbook Pro is possible, although I never figured out how to boot from USB on a Mac. But my main surprise is Samsung Tablet. I still can't comprehend how it's possible. If it is, my next question what's working and what's not. I'd gladly join this adventure and will buy a Samsung Android Tablet if it can boot into Porteus in a useful way!

To get in the Bios on a Samsung Tablet Model XE700T1A here is how Immediately after turning the power on, depress the windows button and hold it down until the bios pops up then you change boot order. The Window button is right below the screen.
I will let you know on a Macbook Pro if I can.
I forgot to say my Samsung came with Windows 7 64 bit installed on it.
