Try Linux distros via distrotest.net

You can test a distro through a browser via distrotest.net

distrotest hosts 376 operating systems, PORTEUS is also there.

Look here:
https://bdmpublications.com/testing-lin ... s-browser/
and here:
https://ostechnix.com/test-100-linux-an ... -for-free/

A major limitation is that no internet connection is available on any of the distributions.
And in my tests, changing the keyboard via "setxkbmap de" didn't work either.
Conclusion: I'm not thrilled

OnWorks does similar and has networking. Distrotest indicated people used internet access for nefarious purposes. So far OnWorks has not been abused.

Interesting. But I didn't find Porteus on their site. Linux OS Distributions.

Hi Ed_P
There are only a few operating systems on onworks, Porteus is not among them.
I tried ubuntu 20 on onworks.net.
Switching the keyboard via "setxkbmap de" didn't work here either.
The umlauts are not available and some keys are wrong.

There is now a website available for testing Linux distributions called DistroSea
https://distrosea.com/de/

This platform offers users the opportunity to try out 71 different Linux distributions, including Porteus

However, it's important to note that the virtual environments provided do not include internet access.

Interesting - nice to see TinyCore and AntiX and all their boot / persistence options working.
That's a UNIX book - cool. -Garth
