May have something to do with how your ISP does the peering.
I for example can not download from dl.porteus.org at a reasonable speed.
I always get only some KB/s.

Ohhhh… I did not know, when first using it it had no GUI. I didn't know either. The image on their page told me. did you upload it just for me uploaded just for you darling. :) ...now that it is publicly available, for anyone of course. @ Ed Good to know, thanks. be careful with such low-level tools.

testdisk is a console based program, why should you need any Qt5?
One can have a GUI on QT based systems.

Rava, I simply took the testdisk.SlackBuild, changed the version number and ran it
with the testdisk-7.1.tar.bz2 source.
You can too, I suppose. :)

compiled in port_4-xfce-x86_64 and also in port_5-xfce-x86_64 ...I think it was rc2
Same result with both of them.
Which GUI do you use?

My screenshot = LO running in stock Porteus-XFCE-v4.0-i586

Base modules kernel,core,xorg are the same.

Something to try:
replace 003-lxde.xzm with the xfce module > reboot into "always fresh" mode >
activate the LO module ....report.

Alien Bob's txz files.....the program was able to find its libraries in /usr/lib/libreoffice/program may be the libs are statically linked in alien bob's package.
