[Info] ffmpeg encoding

Hi Rava....may I? ffmpeg If you just want to copy the audio stream without re-encoding just do: [Example] ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -vn -acodec copy audio_out.aac -vn is no video. -acodec copy says use the same audio stream that's already in there. ffmpeg -i video.mp4 will give you the audio/video format ...

Uploaded: 2021-01-12 22:16:30

I got this one: [md5sum]
f8494554c2ac62b72a8257aefb581f1c 003-xfce-4.12-20210112.xzm

Is this the new module?

Providing md5 sums would be really helpful. ;)

Cinnamon v5.0rc2 64-bit not working for me unless in always fresh mode

Are additional modules being loaded? -- remove them.

Boot in "always fresh" mode > rename the changes folder and create a new/empty one > reboot.
Does it work now?

ffplay-gtk-1.9 for all porteus versions

Hi Rava Nice script. B) I have only mp4 or webm videos and every Title has its own folder with the parts in it. [ named 01-title.mp4, 02- ,03 etc.] So if I'm really too lazy to click one after the other I could do something like this: find /mnt/sda4/Professor-T/ -type f -name "*.mp4" | sort | while ...

USB thumbdrive - mkfs.ext2: Input/output error while writing out and closing file system

I would dd the whole drive
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=1M
If no errors occur, format the drive using GParted.

Xfce 4.16 (for Porteus 5 RC2)

Hmm...I must have done it wrong. Using your 003-xfce-4.16-20210111.xzm + pango-1.48.0-x86_64-1.xzm with the Porteus-XFCE-v5.0rc2-x86_64.iso (md5sum 17e16e05f6d8d0f30d7092191c5da616) No shut down or reboot, only log out. The stick is now unusable? Can this still be repaired?
Is the stick displayed as a device with the blkid command?

Code: Select all

root@porteus:/home/guest# blkid
If yes, it might be enough to zero (wipe) the stick.

Why is Porteus-installer-for-Linux.com needed for booting Porteus via USB?

Hi Ed
I do not have any hardware "contaminated" with UEFI; so please don't ask me questions. :)

But here is a link to some drivers.

We're on the way of losing control of the systems we buy.

Copy a hdd to a new ssd drive

Hmm..it seems to me that you are confusing the dds bs= option with disk sectors. The block size (bs) parameter specifies the amount of memory used to read a block from one hard disk before attempting to write that block to the other. dd copies everything, including free space.
