Howto: Popular AppImages one click away

While my intention to create this post was never to create an exhaustive list of existing appimages (which is increasing day by day), I wanted to point out what I'd think would be good to have in a pendrive ready for the battle. For appimage users like ourselves it is good to have a source with inf...

Howto: Popular AppImages one click away

Nice thread! I like using appimages, they're quite convenient when using a portable OS. I'd like to add a couple I find really useful: 1. - Cerebro: If I have to describe it, it's like having krunner in XFCE - where I use it - but without all of the kde stuff. Get it from here https://cerebroapp.com...

HOWTO try all the seven Desktop Environments

Nice tutorial. I have a couple of questions though, I've tried the KDE and XFCE versions and both have a .xzm module which loads the desktop, however you didn't mention anything about needing .xzm modules here for that, so I'm wondering, do I need to download every .iso with the different DEs, copy ...

No. I am saying try: APPEND changes=/porteussave.dat in porteus.cfg. Ah..sorry, I missed the "/" after "=" Ok, will try that. Run as root blkid in the terminal to get the UUID string. Example: APPEND from=UUID:01ef7192 changes=UUID:01ef7192/path/to/save.dat Thanks for the reply, like I said will ha...

Problem loading porteussave.dat file

Have you tried changes=/porteussave.dat? Not sure I understand what you mean...are you suggesting to try APPEND changes=porteussave.dat instead of APPEND changes=/mnt/sda1/porteussave.dat in porteus.cfg? This is how I did it LABEL GRAPHICAL MENU LABEL Graphics mode KERNEL /boot/syslinux/vmlinuz INI...

kdeconnect; installed but won't run

Just checked using kdeconnect on an android (it has been a while) and works fine. Do you still have the old kdeconnect installed? That's what the error looks like. What other modules are activated besides the base modules and kdeconnect? Oh yes that was it, thanks again! I deactivated and deleted t...

If not, try activating this module. Comes up if searched from the menu as well as from krunner. Hi and than...
