Re: How do I prevent manuel mounting of all the partitions?

If I remember correctly only root is able to mount/umount
So if the normal user don't know the root-passwort he can't do it.

(make you root, unmount your partitions and than change back to normal
user.....and don't tell him/her the root-password) :)

Re: pburn not working for me

@brokenman I don't know how to link to the topic,so here it is again: while using pb-burn there is a notification-window which displays the (really not needed)output of wodim.you have to close it with the so called Emergency-stop button If you close that window with the X-button in the window-frame,...

Re: pburn not working for me

Wouldn't it be easier to fix the errors in Pburn, instead of looking for something new? Pburn-4.0.0 (67 kb) - requires gtkdialog 0.8.3 Pburn-3.7.18 (68 kb) - Last release supporting cdrkit Pburn-3.7.12 (68 kb) - Last release for gtkdialog 0.8.0 http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=155668

Re: pburn not working for me

I only took a short look at Simpleburn, so maybe I overlooked something, but

do you see an option to regulate the CD-Burning-speed?

If you can only burn with full-speed, it will produce a lot of Trash

Multisession data-CD's ???

Re: pburn not working for me

@Ahau
I agree
for burning an iso or data-backup from time to time
burnbox will be good enough if every offered option
works as expected.

Re: pburn not working for me

I have tested audio-burning with pburn and this is what I got cdrecord:...........Cannot open '/tmp/pburn_tmp/*_pburn.wav'. as you can see pburn is looking for *_pburn.wav, but the files in that Folder have the original names. After renaming the files manually it works. (the symlinks are ok)----ffmp...

Re: Can't boot my iso created by wizard

The "EDD: Error 0c00 reading sector 22340" line suggests
that the CD was bad and simply burning the same original image
without changes on a different CD could fix the problem.

{pcmanfm doesn't look any different when you open it up as root ]

Try to use a different Font for root

EDIT:
to be a little more helpful
if I remember correctly slitaz4.0 stable, is using pcmanfm too,
maybe a look at it will help.

Re: CRDA 1.1.1

a hint for using CRDA for normal boot: just put the two files into your module-folder....reboot..done.. nothing new.. I know, but when you need CRDA in always-fresh-mode too,it's a little different. 1.disconnect your usb-wifi (Important) 2.boot into always-fresh-mode 3.activate the CRDA-files 4.and ...
