Help with installation of Porteus from one usb(Live) to another usb

:o

So, you:

formatted the drive as FAT32,
you copied the 3 folders (EFI, boot, porteus) and 1 file (USB_INSTALLATION.txt) from the ISO/CD to the formatted drive
and then you ran the Porteus install? Yes?

Mixing up the sequence doesn't work.

Help with installation of Porteus from one usb(Live) to another usb

Ok, the drive has EFI support. Your drive FAT32 now? And you ran the Porteus-installer for the drive? So, does it boot now?

Printer installation

Reboot. Or dbl click on the 007 module and activate it.

With Cinnamon DE to add a printer to my system I use either Menu > Admin > Manage Printing or Menu > Admin > Print Settings.

Help with installation

Not how I do things. 1 partition. And while I use FAT32, exFAT may work also. Porteus stays on the single partition. Read the install file in the ISO.

saves are not being made & USM not working...

Hello Sergyos . Welcome to Porteus. In the test release of Porteus 5.0 rc1 USM does not work. As for saving your changes I assume your USB drive is formated as exFAT? If so you need to create a save.dat file which can be done via the Porteus Menu's Admin Porteus save file function. Make the file big...

Help with installation

Hello DariusSG , welcome to the forum. Rather than install Porteus you can boot the ISO directly, on a NTFS file system, if you have a bootloader installed. I have Grub2Win installed and I boot Porteus, and others, using grub2 commands to boot the ISO files, all on NTFS file systems, without install...

Hello john30 . Within the ISO is a file named USB_INSTALLATION.txt. Follow the instructions written in it. Fairly simple and straight forward. Copy files, run a program. If you multi-boot using grub2 you can try this approach: menuentry " Porteus 4.0 ISO - AF" --class slackware --class icon-porteus ...
