Currently uploading all three files, it could take approx 30 minutes for all files - unless my connection breaks down during the upload, then I have to start anew. Lets keep our fingers crossed for the upload to succeed. And for the Corona hysteria to stop, let the medical experts take the lead once...

kernelś related Vmlinuz,
It is not kernel related vmlinuz but a newer one for testing pre-rc2 of 5.0 Porteus.
But since I never ran the 5.4.19 with the standard vmlinuz kernel I have no clue if it would work or would create issues.

As teaser (we do not want to get bored in times where we all should stay at home 24/7, now, do we?) here the md5sums in advance: d4499dbc0320c2fa1d60932216728cf7 05-devel_5.0rc1_k5.4.19.xzm 91ea46e5a26ae2f311c256389e6aa352 64bit-ALL-kernel5.4.19.tar And the file sizes: # ls -l 05-devel_5.0rc1_k5.4.1...

@Rava seems that for 05-devel.xzm is not available for 5.4.24 kernel, could you please share your working kernel and its 05.devel.xzm to me? I start uploading it, hopefully my standard uploader "abload.de" accepts files as large as the kernel one tar archive. I will reply here when I managed to upl...

Porteus v5.0rc1 problems

Alright. Could you please provide the exact and most simple step by step to reproduce the issue? And I mean, since the boot. I set up a new Porteus system: for 5.0rc1-pre-rc2 and kernel 5.4.19 I booted via cheatcode "3". I log into the virtual console as guest. [I do not recall if I got this error ...

[HOWTO] make a xzm module driver for NVIDIA video card

The 304 driver is out of support. AFAIK it is not possible getting it to run on a system since xorg-server 1.20 Porteus 4 with xorg 1.19 will be the last one. That is a sad thing, the card is a quite good one, of course it is some years ago when I bought the card for that PC… but still, unable to u...

Sure, will do accordingly, Thank you.
I hope it compiles okay. For now I am at a loss as what can be done to get the 304.108 to compile.

How does the desktop zoom work?

How is the GUI desktop zoom from newer Porteus implemented? It works by holding the Alt Key pressed and using the mouse wheel to either zoom in or zoom out. Older Porteus OS did not have this ability, and it works with Nouveau driver as well as with the NVIDIA drivers. I mostly use XFCE or Openbox, ...

Howto: Popular AppImages one click away

Kulle, is there a way to get nighly builds of Wexond? I was searching for the ability to zoom in when browsing and they stated that this is implemented in 4.0.0 beta 4, but I did not find a single URL where such beta could be downloaded. To illustrate the issue: see the screenshot of how a standard ...

Howto: Popular AppImages one click away

Appimage is here Try to execute it like this: Translatium*.AppImage --no-sandbox Thanks. And once again, "Translatium-11.0.1.AppImage" could be the x86-64 version. Why do they omit that info? Same with Wexond. :wall: (I.e. I don't feel like having something like krita as a module in my XFCE system....

Yes, it would be a great help! Thanks in advance Let us do the following: you try compiling NVIDIA 340.108 x64 Driver using the 5.4.24 kernel. If that works, you have a newer kernel than me. That is a better choice. You should upload the NVIDIA 340.108 x64 Driver module so others can use it as well...
