The same happens with anything not presently in the kernel such as zstd compressed modules. Which leads to a question..... Has anyone compressed the modules with zstd and had success with booting the kernel? I've done 2 attempts so far, and the kernel patches cleanly and boots, but the kernel modul...

Why is there no CONFIG_AUFS_FS? Because make menuconfig or during compilation AUFS options are removed. I don't know why this is happening. Any suggestion are welcome. A kernel that has not been properly aufs-patched will not present you with the option of choosing aufs under "Pseudo filesystems" d...

I have raised a github issue as the patch files are missing in the 5.10 branch: https://github.com/sfjro/aufs5-standalone/issues/3 The very unofficial 5.10 changed files are at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lxpup/files/Other/huge-kernels/kernel-5.10-aufs-changes/aufs-5.10-changed-files.tar.xz/d...

@Blaze I, too, tried patching kernel 5.10.4 with the official, newly-released sfjro aufs5 patches. These patches are faulty as they do not create the required fs/aufs directory with related files in the kernel root. Running 'make config' of course produces the error: fs/Kconfig:291: can't open file ...

cad, With the AMD machines, CONFIG_PINCTRL_AMD must be set, though I set it as a module rather than builtin. The last config I looked at from a kernel that Blaze compiled had it set. There are also a few hotplug options that have to be set and might be the reason the kernel isn't working for you. T...

Porteus 5.0 RC2 bug reports

I suggest you try this kernel first because it already has CONFIG_PINCTRL_AMD=y Gave it a try... We are heading in the right direction, but still not quite there: With the 5.4.67 kernel you suggested, the touchpad still does not work and does not show up with lspci -k However, now a dmesg | grep EL...

Porteus 5.0 RC2 bug reports

I suggest you try this kernel first because it already has CONFIG_PINCTRL_AMD=y OK, it makes sense. So I'll give it a try and report here afterwards. The latest Blaze 5.10.4 kernel has it compiled as a module (CONFIG_PINCTRL_AMD=m), I just checked. I will give 5.4.67 a try and report results here. ...

@ cad , Try this Porteus Kernel Builder (Post by Blaze #78834) http://www.mediafire.com/file/ck97daw06dgwcy1/64bit-ALL-kernel5.4.67.tar/file Now that kernel 5.10.4 has been "adopted" by the Porteus team, I'd like to start working and experimenting with that... Thanks for your suggestion, though. :)

hi cad from the arch forum if you have an amd cpu on: I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ABR with an Elantech touchpad. I tried enable the Elantech and I2C options in my kernel to no avail. Hi roadie, I just gave additional information about this issue by editing my previous post #273 in this thread, before seeing your post. To make a long story short, Blaze's 5.10.4 kernel did not get my laptop's touchpad to work. I looked today into his 64bit.config file and it seems that all require...
