Porteus 5.0 RC2 bug reports

Oh, I'm glad it's working! :) No automount of the shared folders, but that is Virtual Box problem, as mounting the shared folders on the command line works perfectly. Yeah, some services are not starting during the boot, which is wron...

@paf, thanks for the feedback. :)

I can confirm the issue that you reported. We're still investigating it, but in the meantime try this guest module and let us know if it works for you:

"0050-multilib-current-x86_64.sxz" - Corrupted Module

Sorry for the looong delay.

This is hapenning becase you probably don't have enough memory to load such a huge module. You may want to try this ultra lite version of it (second post): Multilib Lite (Post by fulalas #78446)

Porteus 5.0 RC2 bug reports

@mbos, I'm not sure why firejail is not working anymore. I tried it here, but it only works if I run it and stay doing things in the same terminal instance, so file managers or other terminal instances won't be affected (i.e. selected folder won't be read only). :unknown: Is it supposed to change fi...

Hi Fulalas,
I am using the XFCE Desktop on Acer Aspire ES 15 notebook.
Try to change the shortcuts in Settings -> Keyboard -> Application Shortcuts tab -> xbacklight -dec / -inc.

Network-Manager fails after Midori installed

Firefox won't take much more space and it works way better in my opinion. You can try version 78 ESR (60 MB) from or browser download tool :)

Network-Manager fails after Midori installed

One dependency it requires to run videos is gst-libav -- and I forgot to include in my package (i.e. #7). But... I don't get why people use Midori. It's supposed to be a light browser, but it requires so many dependencies that in the end it's as heavy as Firefox with the difference that Firefox work...

Network-Manager fails after Midori installed

@afrodeity, please ignore all the packages you have downloaded for Midori and try this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/fs7cpbeazyx8blg/midori-0.9.0-x86_64-1.tar.gz EDIT: oh, now I see that you were trying the 586 version. Is this the only option? If so, this is going to be tricker. At least now you k...

Yeah, dconf-editor was removed because it's non-essential and it's for advanced users only, so they can download it from some repository. :good:

@Ed_P, now you know what setting you should change in order to suspend when the lid is closed, right? :)

Yes, finally non-POSIX partitions have support to trash. Isn't amazing? :) If you want to delete for real just press SHIFT + delete.

Multilib Lite

I've been testing a ultra lite version of this module and it seems to be working just nice :) EDIT : actually it's better than ever: for the first time a working multilib module can be deactivated :magic: http://www.mediafire.com/file/lqz0zatgp6xovx7/0050-multilib-ultralite-x86_64-20200820.xzm (65.4...
