Abiword and Gnumeric

Hi,
this gnumeric package has two missing dependencies libgoffice-0.10-10 and libgsf-1-114. Also in /usr/share/applications you have to change in the gnumeric.desktop file the line

Code: Select all

Exec=gnumeric %U
to

Code: Select all

Exec=gnumeric-1.12.34 %U
.
Works very fine for me.

Hi Beny
I have tried to compile the .run file with crippled sources activated, but the result is the same.
Thanks nevertheless.

Porteus v5.0rc1 problems

Hi Folks, thank You for the porteus 5.0 rc1 release. Everything works fine. The only problem I have is with VirtualBox. I have made a module with the VirtualBox-builder. When I want to create a new VM I get the following message ( which seems quite common also with other distros): Kernel driver not ...

Xfce x64 module updated

@Neko,
looks good. Can I use develeoper.xzm from the original porteus 4 kernel in case I have to compile something?

Porteus-v4.0 bug reports

[SOLVED] In the moment I am migrating from porteus XFCE 322 64bit to porteus xfce 4.0 64 bit. Everything works fine. I can use all my (homemade) modules and could also use all the changes I had made to porteus 322. The only problem is with highlighting (marking) text in the browser by mouse . That w...

P.S. we had that some time ago (I think it was 3.2) and Donald was the smart guy to discover.

Happy Eastern to everyone!

Porteus-v4.0rc4 bug reports

I'm not sure, but I think in the language module

Code: Select all

de-core_locales.xzm
for XFCE 64bit the

Code: Select all

/usr/lib
directory should be renamed to

Code: Select all

/usr/lib64
.
Don't hang me, if I'm wrong.

Anyway great piece of work.

What's your favorite file manager?

I use spacefm for years now. When compiling it with

Code: Select all

--disable-video-thumbnails
it is quite small and snappy. Also very useful when copying a lot from A to B. Can also be installed with an installer script into the changes module. My clear favorite.
